Overview

We want you to be happy with Algorithm Invoice. This page explains when refunds are available, how to ask for one, and what to expect next.

Subscriptions

  • Cancel any time: You can cancel in the app to stop future renewals. Your current paid period remains active until it ends.
  • Renewals: Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled in advance of the renewal date.
  • Pro-rata: We do not usually provide pro-rata refunds for partly-used periods, unless required by law or expressly stated in a promotion.
  • Failed payments: If a renewal fails, access may pause until payment is resolved; no charges apply during any paused period.

Credits & one-off purchases

  • Credits: Credits may have an expiry shown in-app. Unused or expired credits are generally non-refundable.
  • Mistakes: If a one-off charge was made in error (for example, duplicate or unauthorised), contact us promptly and we’ll investigate.
  • Delivery of digital services: Where a one-off purchase provides immediate digital access or processing, refunds may not be available once delivery has started (see “Cooling-off” below).

Cooling-off & consumer rights

For UK consumers, a 14-day cooling-off period may apply to distance purchases. However, for digital content/services supplied immediately, you will usually be asked to confirm that delivery starts straight away and that your cooling-off right ends once delivery has begun. Where delivery has not started, or where consumer law requires it, you may still be entitled to cancel and receive a refund.

This summary is informational and does not limit your statutory rights.

How to request a refund

Email billing@algorithminvoice.com with:

  • your account email;
  • the receipt or transaction ID (Stripe/PayPal reference if available);
  • a short description of what went wrong and the outcome you’re seeking.

We’ll review and reply within a reasonable timeframe.

Processing & outcomes

  • Where refunds are approved, we refund to the original payment method.
  • Timing: We initiate approved refunds promptly; card providers typically take 5–10 business days to reflect the funds (PayPal may be quicker).
  • Chargebacks: If you’ve already raised a chargeback, we’ll work through your card provider and pause our own refund handling meantime to avoid duplication.
  • Service issues: For confirmed service disruptions or defects that materially prevented use, we may offer credits, extensions, or refunds at our discretion where appropriate.

Exceptions

We may decline or limit refunds where there is clear misuse, material breach of our Terms, or where statutory exemptions apply (for example, completed digital services supplied with your prior consent to immediate delivery).
